Calicut University is the largest affiliating university which is situating the state of Kerala and established in 1968. It provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different fields such as Science, Arts, Commerce, Law, Education, Engineering, Medicine and Nursing.

- Calicut University conducts an entrance test to provide admission in BHM, B.Com (Hons.), B.P.Ed and B.P.Ed (Integrated) courses. Candidates should have to qualify university level entrance test to get admission in these courses.
- Candidates have to appear and qualify UG CAP round(centralized counseling process), which is based on your marks in 10+2, to get admission in other undergraduate courses.
- To get admission in Engineering, Candidates have to qualify and get a valid score in KEAM Entrance Exam(Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Exam).
- For admission in Architecture, Admission will be based on performance and score of candidates in NATA entrance exam(National Aptitude Test in Architecture).
- Candidates who want to join courses such as MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS will get admission based on their marks in NEET UG(National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
- For degree certification in MA and M.Sc, MSW, M.Li.Sc, MCA, M.Com, M.P.Ed, MTA, candidates must have to qualify university level entrance test.
- Candidates have to appear and qualify PG CAP round(centralized counseling process), which is based on your marks in Graduation, to get admission in other postgraduate courses.
- To get admission in MBA programme as a full-time and part-time, candidate must have to appear and qualify Calicut University Management Aptitude Test (CU MAT) which is conducted by Calicut University.
- For M.tech and M.Pharm courses, It is mandatory to obtain a valid score in GPAT and GATE.
- Candidates who have qualified NEET PG can apply for MD and MS courses whereas for MDS and M.Ch/ DM courses candidates should have to qualify NEET MDS and NEET SS.

Calicut University UG Admission 2019 for BA, B.Com and other courses
Admission in undergraduate courses held in April, every year at Calicut University. Candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in 10+2 examination to be eligible for the admission in undergraduate courses. Candidates who want to join BA, B.Sc. and BCA should have passed their 10+2 examination with minimum aggregate of 45% marks.
Candidates can get admission to all the undergraduate courses after appearing and qualifying Centralized Admission Process (UG CAP) which is conducted by university except for B.P.Ed, B.Com (Hons.) and BHM courses. Candidates are selected based on the marks obtained in UG CAP(conducted to shortlist candidates).
For B.P.Ed, B.P.Ed (Integrated), B.Com (Hons.) and BHM courses, Candidates have to qualify an entrance test conducted by the university to be eligible to apply.
Key Points:
- Entrance test conducted by the university exam pattern will be held in multiple choice and descriptive type questions for 2 hours for B.Com (Hons.)/ B.P.Ed and BHM courses. In the case of objective type questions, Negative marking is applicable as one-third marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Candidates who have passed their 10+2 from outside the Kerala city must have to submit equivalency certificate which is provided by University of Calicut for B.Ed Courses.

Calicut University UG Application Process 2019
University of Calicut select candidates based on UG CAP and entrance exam. Candidates can get admission in UG CAP based courses and entrance-based courses with these steps of application procedures. Calicut University Application Process is given below:
Application Process of UG CAP based courses:
- Visit official website of Calicut University and fill the application form.
- Pay application fee of Rs 265 via e-payment methods of Calicut University such as BI Banking or e-challan or Akshaya Centres or Friends Janasevana Kendram. Reserved candidates should have to pay Rs. 105 and Application fee for B.Ed courses is Rs. 525.
- Now, Select Course and then College.
- Save/Print the filled application form and submit a copy of this application form to your respective college in which you want to take admission.
- Also, keep a Copy of this application form for future preferences.
Note: After qualifying UG CAP round, College copy is necessary to be submitted to the respective college.
Application Process of Entrance-based courses:
To get admission in BHM, B.P.Ed (Integrated), B.P.Ed and B.Com (Hons.) courses, Candidates have to visit the official website of Calicut University and then fill the application form online. After that Application fee of Rs. 350( for reserved candidates Rs 150) should be paid via challan and send the copy of application form to the Department/Coordinating Director of Calicut University.
Calicut University UG Admission 2019 for Technical courses
To get admission in B.tech courses should have a passed KEAM 2019 which is conducted by CEE on April 23-24, 2019 and obtain a valid score. Candidates who have scored a valid score in NATA can apply for B.Arch program.

Calicut University Ph.D. Admission 2019
At the research level, the university offers integrated M.Phil-Ph.D and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines. Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Ph.D Courses. The university conducts Ph.D. entrance test for Ph.D., but CSIR-NET/ UGC-NET/ SLET or GATE qualified candidates are also eligible to apply.
Key Points:
