Rashtriya military schools are coming in ‘A’ Category institution of the Indian army. All schools have been ranked under the top 20 boarding Schools of India for the year 2020-21. Rashtriya Military School; Admission, Entrance Exam, Result, Cut Off dates is out now. Rashtriya military schools administered by the Directorate General of Military Training and were established in 1922. These schools were established as King George’s Royal Indian Military schools to give the best, advanced, quality and effective education for defence personnel children. The schools were renamed in 1966 as Military Schools and the motto, ‘Play the Game’ was replaced by ‘Sheelam Param Bhushanam’ which means Character is the Highest Virtue.
Authorities of these schools conduct an entrance exam for the students to get admission in these schools. Admissions start from class VI and IX and the entrance exam syllabus comes from Class V & Class VIII. The Central Governing Council(CGC) has the main authorities of these schools which are headed by the Defence Secretary of the ministry of defence. In 1952, these schools are open for civilian children. Rashtriya Military Schools are completely English medium residential Public Schools for the student. Rashtriya Military School For Girls and Boys there is no discrimination in between them.

In the schools, management provides world-class activities and facilities for the students. They can improve, learn new skills. It provides a well-furnished room, drinking water and food for the student. It helps to make children fit, active and healthy.

Hostel Superintendent and a warder are also available for providing and fulfil all the requirements of the students. Part-time Medical Officer assisted by two Nursing Assistants for health facilities and inspection of the students. In daily menu includes fresh fruit, milk, butter, jam, eggs, cereals, vegetables and meat/fish/ chicken. Separate arrangement exists for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. A cafeteria is available in the school which helps to complete the daily needs of the students here Students can take tea coffee cooldrink and other snacks.

Rashtriya Military School Admission 2020
A common entrance exam is scheduled by the Rashtriya Military School for all students per year. For more information please check the notification on a daily and weekly bases. Those parents who want to enrol their children in the academic year 2020-21. They can apply through the official site of the school and offline. In all Military School have reservation criteria for the children of defence personnel. The admission in the Rashtriya military school of all students is based on this Common Entrance Exam and interview. These Common Entrance Exam held for admission to class VI and IX.
Rashtriya Military School Eligibility Criteria

Age criteria
- Age should not be less than 10 years and more than 11year on 01 July of the admission academic year for class VI students.
- For class IX age for boys should be in between 13 to 14 years on 01 July of the admission academic year
- Six months of relaxation in the upper age limit is permissible for the wars of personnel killed in action.
Education requirement
Candidates should be passed in class V for Cass VI from a govt/recognized school before the date of admission to a military school. However, a student who is currently studying in class V is also eligible for this entrance Test.
Medical Selected Candidates
For medical selection, a student will have to give a medical exam in command and other Military Hospitals which is nominated by the Director-General of Medical Services. Only those candidates are eligible for admission which is found fit in this test.

- You can purchase an application form and prospectus from any Rashtriya Military Schools by paying Rs.550/- (Rs.275/- for SC/ST Students).
- Fill the application form and submit it to through post forwarding self-addressed slip and along with Demand Draft of Rs 600/- amount payable at respective in favour of “Principal, Rashtriya Military School (Rs 325/-for SC/ST including Rs 50/- Postage Charge) (with a copy of the Caste Certificate to be submitted to them).
